2014 Grease Cast:

Danny………………………………….……………………………Cory R.

This is Cory’s big debut.  He is quiet and shy; I didn’t know he had Danny inside of him until he auditioned.  He blew me away. He loved playing Danny and he enjoyed the long practices.  Wow, what a trouper!

Sandy…………………………………………………………Katie R.

This is also Katie’s big debut.  She did not originally start of as Sandy, but through hard work, perseverance, and passion; she definitely proved to me she was the right person for the job. “This is the hardest play I’ve ever been in; I’ve never been in a musical”.  Katie, you rock!

Kenickie……………………………………………………..Rachel B.

“Thank you for coming to our production of Grease!  I’m so happy to be playing the interesting character that is Kenickie.  Grease has been my favorite musical since I was 9 years old and it’s been so much fun to choreograph, help direct and star in.  Special shout out to my girls, Wendy and Andria, thanks for letting me kiss you on the cheeks, ladies!” 😉

Thank God for Rachel! She is one of our super staff that had to step in at the last minute!

Grease 2014 (3)

“By far the best production I’ve seen in AIM HIGHER history!!” – Edmond

Rizzo………………………………………………………………..Andria G.

Andria is no stranger to the stage, this triple threat has graced our stage before as Beauty, but now; she will shock you all with this powerful performance as Rizzo.  She never ceases to amaze me.  She loved working with everybody, especially me!  Hahahaha!! Get it, girl!

Frenchy…………………………………………………………….Alaina B.

What can I say about this multi-talented human being?  She is unstoppable!  She can achieve anything she puts her mind to.  Working with everybody was her favorite experience of Grease, but the long rehearsals were a bit of a downer.  “Grease has made me a better performer and it helped me work with people better.”  Alaina, you’re a creative beast!!

Sonny……………………………….…………………………….Aaron B.

Aaron is a talented soul; he is a quick learner and a great drama student.  Although he didn’t like the rehearsals, he loved playing his character, and it shows!!  Go Aaron!!

Marty………………………………………..……………………Ashley C.

Ashley was the first actress to come prepared and ready to work.  She had all her lines memorized and was waiting on us to teach her the dance moves.  I’ve never seen such dedication, go Marty!!

Jan…………………………………………………………………Monet B.

This diva is no joke; not only a dancing queen but acting queen as well, so proud her hard work and determination.  Overall, she is just super excited to be a part of Grease and to play one of the legendary pink ladies.  Monet, all I got to say is “chilli cheese fries”!

Doody………………………………………………………………Andre F.

When asked about what was his favorite part of the Grease experience was, he replied, “working with the T-birds, the dance moves to ‘Grease Lightning’, and I loved playing Doody, because I am Danny’s friend”.  Andre, you’re such a sweet soul!

Putzie………………………………………………………..Jonathon S.

Jonathon is not only the “breaking king”, but an amazing performer.  I enjoyed being in Grease and playing his character.  The practices were long, but he preserved. No is not a word in his vocabulary, he tries and tries again until he gets it; so inspiring to see!!

Leo………………………………………………………………….Steven C.

Steven makes me laugh every day.  He loved Grease because he “got to boss the T-birds around”.  Due to the rehearsals, outings became limited, but he endured. “This has one of the hardest plays I have ever been in since my time here at Aim Higher”.  Although reluctant, Steven still proves time and time again why he is an excellent actor!  Way to go, Steve-O!!

Cha Cha……………………………….……………………Wendy C.

Not only is she the reigning singing champion, she is also the current dancing champion.  Refreshing and always entertaining, Wendy can be a spicy kick to any performance!!  “I enjoyed playing my character and helping out my fellow cast mates”.  She is perfect as Cha Cha.

Patti………………………………………………………………..Alison J.

I am super proud of this amazing lady.  She has definitely stretched her wings and flown out of her shy nest.  Alison has grown leaps and bounds since I first saw her.  Alison loved being in the play, but the rehearsals were very tough for her.  Don’t stop soaring no matter what!!

Tom………………………………………………………………….Cody W.

Don’t mistake this arm wrestling champ for a tough guy only; he is an amazing actor too!  Cody will remember this experience most because he felt like we were all a “big family”.  The hardest thing for him was the “Hand Jive”, because it was so fast paced!  No worries Cody, you’re still killing it!

Vince………………………………………………………………….Grant P.

Words cannot describe what an amazing performer Grant is. He is the go to guy for the different characters that I need.  He always gives it his all without holding back and he’s not afraid to try. Grant is an actor’s actor, I wanna be like Grant!  Let’s Hand Jive, Vince!!

Coach………………………….…………………………………….James P.

This Brit is a no-nonsense improv king!  Perfect for the role, he was a perfectionist.  Did you guys know he knows Darth Vader personally?  When asked about Grease, he said, “I just loved playing the coach but I didn’t like the tryouts with Danny”.  You go Rydell Rangers!!

Principal……………………………….……………………….Jackie M.

One of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever met.  Jackie loves being in Grease and just listening to everybody sing.  She is also a great singer herself.  So proud of you, Rydell forever, Bon Voyage!!

Ernie…………………………………………………………….Anwtine H.

Antwine is the class clown, always trying to make others laugh, he is a superstar.  Again, this has been the hardest play he has been in but he loves it.  “I enjoyed being in the ‘basketball scene’”.  Get those push-ups rolling, Antwine!

Waitress……………………………………………………..Michelle R.

Michelle totally got into playing her character.  She loved singing all the songs and although the dances were tough, she moved with the best of them.  Michelle, don’t stop being awesome!!

Ted……………………………………………………………………Tim L.

Underneath his shy exterior, there is an amazing actor waiting to be discovered.  Although he battles with stage fright, he still doesn’t give up when it comes time to go on stage.  Tim, you got that fighting spirit, I love it!

Dancer/Scorpiette…………………………………….Randi R.

Randi is a superb dancer with a very kind heart.  Always helpful, she is busy keeping track of all the props.  Thank you, Randi.  You rock!!

Dancer/Scorpion…………………………………………William B.

William is not to be taken lightly.  He speaks Spanish fluently and can move his body like you wouldn’t believe.  “I like the ‘Hand Jive’ and loved being in the play”.  He didn’t like Leo falling out of the car though.  Ooopps!! That’s how it rolls sometimes William.

Scorpiette………………………………………………………….Karyn R.

When asked about her experience with Grease, she said, “I enjoyed singing and dancing, I love being in a musical”! Look forward to her future performances, an actress is waiting to submerge!

Scorpion………………………………….…………………….Delmar E.

Blessed with a great attitude and a great smile, Delmar can do no wrong.  Always brightening up my day, he is famous for saying “don’t worry, be happy”!  I love that laid back attitude! You go, Delmar.

Grease 2014 (48)Note from the Performing Arts Director:

“This has been one of the most challenging but joyful phenomenon’s I have been a part of.  And I say phenomenon because these actors are out of this world!! I have laughed and cried my heart out.  It is a powerful thing to witness them chasing a dream/goal and fulfilling it. I am so proud of each and every one of these amazing clients.  They bring so much meaning to the work I do, thank you!”
