On Friday, July 17th, AIM HIGHER Orange Grove’s Aktion Club hosted it’s first ever spaghetti feed. We offered a plate of spaghetti, a side of salad, a piece of garlic bread, a cookie and a beverage for just $5.
Our Aktion Club members and advisors also worked very hard to gather donations for our raffle and our silent auction. We raffled off numerous small prizes such as gift cards to the Studio Movie Grill and Sprouts Farmer’s Market. Our silent auction had several “big ticket” items, such as a $100 dollar gift certificate to a hotel, a Citrus Heights police ride-a-long basket, and 2 gift baskets from the Beach Hut Deli. We sold over 100 tickets and raised $407 dollars the night of the feed. Thank you so much to all of those who donated or volunteered their time! We now have enough funds to plan our next charitable contribution, sending care packages to deployed troops over seas.
