From the week of March 24, 2014

Happy Friday!

What a busy week it has been! We round up our last trips to the Jelly Belly Factory and our final Men’s Day out to John’s Incredible Pizza! Everyone had a blast attending the outings and loved getting their hands on the pizza bar at Johns. We started the week by talking about our weekend at the Special Olympics! Stephanie, Kevin, Jane, Renu and Stephen had a blast coaching everyone at their weekend tournaments.

Today, we had a group from Carrington College demonstrate the proper ways to brush your teeth and the right/wrong things to eat. All of our clients received brand new toothbrushes, tooth pastes and stickers! In the picture attached, it shows the amount of sugar contained in a Dr. Pepper bottle. Also, attached is a picture of Chef Tom with our two lead Chefs; Cory & Frank! Boy are they lookin’ good!!

On top of it all, Branae and I have been working towards getting the gears rolling towards IMPROVEMENT. We are in the process of meeting with each classroom team to discuss some improvements, activities and suggestions for the program. During our first meeting with the Performing Arts Team, Maui threw out a gift card she purchased for one of her staff members, Maria Wendt. We witnessed Maui acknowledge Maria for all of her hard work in the classroom and always being there for her when she needs Maria most.

Maria is a star in the night! She gets her work done without any directions or reminders. Maria shines through and PEFORMING ARTS loves it! Maria, Mariaa…

Have a great weekend Everyone!
