This year’s performances put on by well prepared singers and dancers from Roseville and Elk Grove was perhaps the best ever!
AIM HIGHER is well known for providing opportunities to the men and women we serve to shine. When you have a staff team that is dedicated to creating ways to get that done and then doing all the leg work to make it a reality wonderful things happen.
On Wednesday December 23, 2009 a group of 50+ folks that are served at the North Laguna Senior Community Center were treated to Elk Grove’s best. Music Instructor Joel along with staff members Paige, Nailene and Natalya prepared and brought a crew of 16 carolers to engage the seniors who were eager to see/hear/feel the holiday cheer. After the show one of the seniors said, “That was really wonderful. I loved how they all dressed up and sang their hearts out.” In addition to the singers Elk Grove came with a drummer, a guitar player and a jingler.
On the same day the Choir and Dance Team in Roseville put on an unforgettable performance for 30+ family members. Led by staff member and Choir Coordinator Rose along with Instructor Arnetta 30 members of the Roseville Choir sang all the holiday classics with zest. Dance Troupe leader and client Andrea then led her crew in a funky dance routine that had the audience bouncing in their seats. In addition to the choir and dance troupe there was also a beautiful dance performed by two clients that made “So You Think You Can Dance” look easy. Once the clients were finished filling the room with smiles staff members William and Rose sang a duet that was a perfect ending to a great show.
