The AIM HIGHER calendar system and daily schedule is based on years of experience and the direct input of our consumers, families, care providers, service coordinators and other members of the community committed to providing the highest quality of programming and service.
The Monthly Calendar provides every consumer and his/her support network an in-depth look at all of the activities they will be participating in. It shows what days the consumers will be going on outings, when they'll be spending money, the special activities the consumers have decided on each Friday, and any special events to look forward to. The Calendar is meant to be the ultimate communication piece.
The Daily Schedule is also a product of experience and understanding related to our consumers and what is needed to provide an environment that will produce positive and successful results day in and day out. The system is designed to ensure the level of consistency needed for each consumer to feel comfortable and safe enough to be fully engaged in the part of the day that is consistent with the world we live in. The world we live in requires us to be ready for change and transitions. Our Daily Schedule is a direct link to this reality.

Consumers Depart |
Our afternoon All Group activities are 100% decided upon by the consumers. Through a system of group discussions and voting the following activities are currently in place. Depending on the mood of the group these activities can/will change. Check back often for updates.

The consumers get to tell us what THEY want during the Consumer Council afternoon activity. They are more than capable of giving us input. We owe it to them to listen so that we can provide the best program and curriculum possible. |
